Touch–Tone Mode:
- From the Main Menu, press STAR (★) for Touch–Tone mode
(this toggles between Touch–Tone and Voice–Recognition modes)
- Touch–Tone mode ignores all background noise
- Pressing STAR (★) permits you to interact using telephone's keypad
- No voice commands are accepted while in Touch–Tone mode
- Press POUND (#) to skip to next message
- Pressing POUND (#) from a menu prompt brings you up one menu level
Enter Road and Segment Together
- Instead of keying in desired road number and, when prompted, segment number, you can enter both at the same time
- Example:
Instead of "10" for I–10, then "02" at next prompt for segment two, press "1002"
Voice–Recognition Mode:
- Say one of the following: Roads, Transit, Airports, Tourism, Quick Report, or Comment
- To return to main menu say "Main Menu"—before event spoken, during any short gaps
- Begin speaking commands after sixth word (the sixth word is "system")
- Note: Exception is during a Priority Message such as an AMBER Alert (automatically heard)
- You may also press POUND (#) to skip to next message
Special Sequence of Codes—Main Menu
Bypass normal prompts and automatically receive a report for desired road segmentFrom the Main Menu, the sequence of keys to pressis:
- Number 1 ("1")
- Road Number desired
- Two–digit Segment number (if applicable)
- POUND (#)
Examples:
- You want Segment 3 of I–40, press 14003#
- You want Full Report (aka Segment 9) of I–10, press 11009#
- You want SR–77 (no segments), press 177#
